Welcome to the Summer Term in Year 4! Please take a look at our Mood Board to find out what we'll be studying.
Homework and Spellings
The most important thing each child can do at home is reading. At an early age, this will mean sharing books with your child. When the children are independent readers, parents can still discuss the book your child is reading and help them with their comprehension and enjoyment of it. Please note down any reading you have done with your child or independent reading in their reading record book.
Spellings will be handed out on a Monday and tested on a Friday.
Homework will be given out on a Tuesday to be returned by Monday. This will be linked to learning in class. If your child is finding the homework hard or you need more help, then please come in and see us. The homework will be a small task that should not last more than 20 mins, but will be crucial to help embed the learning that we are doing within the class.
Playing the Ukulele!
In Year 4, we are lucky enough to have the opportunity to learn how to play the Ukulele for an entire Year! Every week we will have an hour lesson, in which we will learn how to play different chords and sing songs. Ukulele tuition will take place every Wednesday morning.
