Weekly Learning Activities


Oracy & Writing

  • Daily Phonics sessions - click link ( Please see your Dojo message to ensure you start on the right videos.
  • Daily Reading - please read stories at home with your child. You can find lots of stories online (please see useful websites for online stories below)
  • Listen to your child’s class teacher reading a story online - link will be posted on dojo weekly. 



  • Use the space powerpoint to discuss your favourite planet. Why do you like that planet? 
  • Use the sentence stem "My favourite planet is___because__"



  • Write a fact about a planet of your choice for your space fact file book. Follow the steps to success and don't for get to use our sentence superheros.



Theme - Space

  • Maths this week is focussing on partitioning numbers using the part whole model. Please watch one video per day and complete the challenges.
  • Please see the learning resources folder below for videos and activities.
  • Spend 10 minutes, daily on Numbots


Complete at least one of these activities each week


UW /PC - Look at the job of an Astronaut. What do they do. Can you pretend to be an astronaut? How do you think you would move around in Space?

EAD  -  This week we are starting our Space Fact File by writing a fact about a planet. Can you design a front cover for your book. Remember to include a colourful picture and the Authors name.

  • Go for a walk/scoot/cycle/swim


  • In Early Years, playing, talking and taking turns are key elements of the curriculum. 
  • Spend time everyday making up stories whilst playing with your toys. Think about the following:
    • What are the characters called?
    • What happens to them and how are they feeling in the story? 
    • What do they say to each other?
